Product Information

Fresh grass-fed sliced beef — Australia pasture-raised, sliced fresh in our butchery, delivered chilled rather than frozen.

Pre-sliced beef is the stir-fry cook's best friend: it cooks in seconds, takes on marinades quickly, and gives you restaurant-quality results in under 10 minutes.

Grass-fed delivers the cleaner mineral flavour that grass-fed enthusiasts prefer, and the chilled format keeps the natural moisture intact. The cut every weeknight cook should keep in their fridge for fast, premium stir-fries.

Why This Cut?

•      Chilled-sliced = restaurant-quality stir-fry results in 10 minutes

•      Pre-sliced takes on marinades faster than home-sliced from frozen

•      Fresh format superior to frozen for moisture retention and texture

How To Serve?

•      Cantonese beef and broccoli: marinate 10 minutes, stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes

•      Thai basil beef: chilli, garlic, fish sauce, holy basil — five-minute dinner

•      Japanese gyudon: simmer with onion, soy, mirin, and sake — over rice with onsen egg

Pro-Tip: The Secret to Ultra-Tender Slices ("Velveting")

If you are working with leaner or less expensive cuts of sliced beef, you can use the Chinese restaurant technique called velveting to guarantee the meat stays incredibly silky and tender.

Toss your raw beef slices with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda per 300g of meat, along with a splash of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before cooking. The baking soda raises the pH level on the meat's surface, making it physically impossible for the muscle proteins to tighten up tightly when they hit the hot pan.
